Day 1 Arrive in Shanghai
Today's Activities | The first attraction on today's itinerary list is Yuyuan Garden, one of the best-known ancient private gardens with over 400 years in South China. You will find lotus ponds, winding corridors, mid-Lake pavilion and zigzag bridge sophisticately arranged in the garden. Then have a visit to China's No.1 pedestrian street Nanjing Road (East), you will be dazzled by numerous shops where varicolored clothes, ornaments, and other shopping stuff are on display. Withdrawing from the shopping aspect, let's turn to the Bund nearby. It is lined with a long array of old Western buildings in different architectural styles: Gothic, Baroque, Rome, Renaissance, Classic and Mixed Eastern and Western style...Here you can not only embraces an epitomized old Shanghai, but also take in the booming view of the new Shanghai on the other side across the Huangpu River. Today's Activities | Visit Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall to have a better understanding of Shanghai's yesterday, today and tomorrow. Apart from professional exhibits and various interactive display means, don't miss the 360 Degree Experience Hall. Steer to the deluxe shopping area within the former French Concession, through which the famous high street Huaihai Road runs. You’ll definitely be attracted by the French-style elegance and luxury that sweep all the department stores here. After that, go appreciate Shikumen-style buildings, characteristic residential buildings of Shanghai. Then wave goodbye to Shanghai and transfer to Xi’an by plane. | ||||||||||||||||

Today's Activities | Figuring as one of the "Eight Wonders” in the world, Terracotta Warriors is definately the first attraction you want to see upon your arrival in Xi'an. Moreover, Mausoleum of the Qin Emperor is the world's largest underground tombs. By visiting these two spots, you will know much more about the mysterious funerar culture of ancient China. Later drive back to downtown to explore another facet of Xi'an at Great Mosque and Muslim Quarter. Great Mosque is an integration of Islamic culture and Chinese culture. It emphasizes Chinese traditional buildings and the Islamic mosque arrangements and decorations with Arabic carvings. Today's Activities | Start the day with Shaanxi Historical Museum, a vast stock of historical treasures, ranging from the eroded bamboo stroll to the well-kept glaze ceramic (Tangsancai). Afterwards you'll visit another two symbols of the history-profound Xi'an, Big Goose Pagoda and Ancient City Wall. Standing on the top of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and enjoy overlooking the ancient city. Ancient City Wall is the largest, best-preserved ancient city wall in China. Today's Activities | Get up early to marvel at Tian’anmen Square, the largest square in the world, adorned with lofty jade stone bridges, moats, monuments, ornamental columns, stone lions, etc. Go visit Forbidden City, the largest and best-preserved imperial palace in China. You’ll be shown around several main halls like the Hall of Supreme Harmony. Have a good view of the emperor’s chair, sculpture of mythical beasts, eave decoration and the like, you can touch a whole set of the mysterious Oriental royal life. Go on to the royal praying spot, Temple of Heaven, where Chinese ancient emperors prayed for the country’s prosperity and peace to Heaven and Earth. Now the temple has been reformed into a huge park. Today's Activities | Badaling Great Wall is the best preserved and the most magnificent among so many sections of the Great Wall. You will take a cable car up and feel awestruck all the way at this man-made structure. After the Badaling Great Wall, Let’s go to Changling Tomb. It's the largest one of Ming Tombs, inhumed with the 3rd emperor of Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) Zhu Di and his queen. With a series of Memorial Stone Archway, Dragon and Phoenix Gate and so forth, the tomb looks quite majestic. Sacred Road runs through Changling Tomb with a total length of 10 km. Along the Sacred Road, you’ll be stunned by the vigorous Stone Mythical Creatures along both sides. | ||||||||||||||||

Today's Activities | This day we will go to Summer Palace, the imperial garden of Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). You can keenly feel the imperial grandeur when strolling across the 17-Arch Bridge, huge Kunming Lake and the 728-meter-long painting-rich Long Corridor.
