  • Day 1. Arrive in Beijing

    Upon arriving at Beijing airport, a China Tour representative will greet you and accompany you to the hotel.


  • Day 2. Beijing (AB, L, SD)

    Today you'll begin your China sightseeing tour. The first stop is Tiananmen Square in the center of Beijing. Then head for the magnificent Forbidden City, which stood as the imperial palace for China from the Ming Dynasty until the end of the Qing Dynasty, a period of 500 years. After lunch, see the elegant Summer Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site with the largest imperial garden in the world, a favorite retreat for many of the emperors during the Qing Dynasty. In the evening, you will enjoy an authentic Peking Duck Banquet.


  • Day 3. Beijing (AB, L)

    Today’s tour starts with Temple of Heaven will be your first stop. Stop at a Jade Museum to learn the history of Jade before heading to explore the Great Wall.


  • Day 4. Beijing/ Xian (AB)

    This morning you'll board a plane and fly to Xi'an, a famous historical and cultural city in China. Upon arrival, visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, the most distinctive landmark in Xian, and Xian Museum.


  • Day 5. Xian / Chengdu (AB, L) plan

    The Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses have been called the "Eighth Wonder of the World." Nearly 8,000 life- size terra cotta soldiers and horses were buried about 2000 years ago to protect the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang, in his afterlife. You will visit Terra Cotta Army replication factory and back to the city. Pay a visit to the Ancient City Wallof Xian, constructed in 1370 during the Ming Dynasty to completely enclose the city as protection against invaders. Finally fly to Chengdu.


  • Day 6. Chengdu (AB, L)

    Drive to Leshan, where you will see Leshan Giant Buddha, the largest sitting Buddha in the world. Enjoy its full scenery on boat. Then back to downtown and pay a visit to Jinli Old Street.


  • Day 7. Chengdu / Lijiang (AB) plan

    After breakfast, drive to the Giant Panda Breeding Research Center to witness the conservation efforts being made to save this endangered species. The center is the largest giant panda reserve in the world. Whenever China dispatches its animal ambassadors to zoos around the world, they have usually started their life in Chengdu. Afterwards, transfer to the airport for flight to Lijiang.


  • Day 8. Lijiang (AB, L)

    After breakfast, you will visit the famous Black Dragon Pool, as well as the Dongba Museum. Then head to visit Rock Joseph's Former Residence in Yuhu Village, displaying myriad precious photos and personal items of Joseph Rock, an American Austrian explorer who spent 27 years here. Finally enjoy the Baisha Murals at Baisha Village and have a family visit here before being transferred to your hotel.


  • Day 9. Lijiang (AB)

    Whole day is left free at leisure. You can take a walk up to the Lion Hill to visit the Wangu Pavilion and a panoramic view of the Lijiang Old Town, or take a nice walking tour of the ancient Dayan Town, which was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.


  • Day 10. Lijiang - Dali (AB, L)

    In the morning, drive to Dali, it will take about three hours. En route, pay a visit to a local market and stop at Xizhou, once a major stop on the trade route to Tibet, and the area flourished during the Ming Dynasty (around 1368 to 1644). At Xizhou, we will visit the Yan's Compound of Bai ethnic group, to learn the traditional architecture style of Bai minority.


  • Day 11. Dali / Kunming (AB, L) plan

    Here we'll take a cruise trip on the beautiful and scenic Erhai Lake and marvel at the alpine environment. During the trip, you will stop at one or two islands. Then continue on your trip to see the Three Pagodas at the Chongsheng Temple. After that you could have some free time to stroll around the Foreigner Street, the central commercial area of the old town. Then your guide will escort you to the airport for the flight towards Kunming. Your local guide will be waiting for you at the airport and take you to the hotel.  


  • Day 12. Kunming (AB, L)

    Today we'll travel about 75 miles south of Kunming City to Stone Forest, one of China's most unique natural phenomena. The Stone Forest features towering peaks of limestone in some very bizarre shapes. Some of them are as tall as a 6-story building, and the entire area is over 200 acres. There's a long path (about 1.2 miles) that winds through the deepest parts of the forest where you can spot caves, pavilions, and ponds – many of which have their own associated legends. Then pay a visit to Golden Palace Temple at the top of Mingfeng Hill which is the home of the Taoist Taihe Palace and the biggest copper temple in China.


  • Day 13. Kunming / Guilin (AB) plan

    Free till be met and transfer to the airport for your flight to Guilin.


  • Day 14. Guilin-Yangshuo-Guilin (AB, L)

    A leisurely four-hour cruise down the Lijiang River from Guilin to Yangshuo begins the day. Enjoy the picturesque landscape, surrounded by the hills and bamboo that have inspired many artists over the centuries. Upon arriving at Yangshuo, you'll then have the afternoon to explore on your own by either renting a bike or taking a walk around West Street, a 1,400-year-old street paved with marble. Explore some of the diverse and charming stores and shops around the area. Later afternoon, drive back to Guilin.


  • Day 15. Guilin / Shanghai (AB, L) plan

    This morning, visit the Elephant Trunk Hill and the incredible karsts Reed Flute Cave, then visit a Saltwater pearl Factory before being transferred to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, be met and transfer to check in at your hotel.


  • Day 16. Shanghai (AB, L)

    Today you'll visit Yuyuan Garden, and soak up the more commercial aspects on Old Street, Nanjing Road, the Bund. Visit a silk factory where you can do some shopping. Then step back in time at the Shanghai Museum with more than 120,000 art objects.


  • Day 17. Depart from Shanghai (AB)

    The tour comes to an end today, and it's time to pack up all your belongings, mementos, and special memories as you get ready to return home. An optional extension tour can also be arranged upon your request.
