Destination: Beijing, Xi'an, Chengdu, Guilin, Shanghai
Day 1. Arrive in Beijing
You will be greeted by our Beijing tour guide and transferred to check in at your luxurious hotel where you are at your leisure to relax and enjoy the evening.
Day 2. Beijing (AB, SD)
Beijing is the capital city of China, with population of 17.4 million. We embark for a full day tour which begins at the Tian An Men Square, noted as the largest public square in the world with its monuments and buildings situated around the square's perimeter. Thereafter we will visit the Forbidden City, and Summer Palace whilst enjoying a walk along Lake Kunming. Dinner is served with a fabulous Peking Duck Banquet.
Day 3. Beijing (AB, L)
Today you'll see and perhaps climb the Great Wall of China, one of the country's most famous tourist attractions and one of the greatest man-made wonders of the world. It runs about 5,500 miles through 150 different counties. You will then have a Seminar on Chinese Jade Culture at a local Jade Museum. Next you will have a Hutong Tour by rickshaw.
Day 4. Beijing / Xian (AB)
This morning you visit the exquisite 15th century Temple of Heaven - to see the Imperial Ceiling of Heaven with its Echo Wall and the Nine-Dragon Cypress, more than 500 years old. Then transfer to the airport for a flight to Xian. Xian - also known as Chang'an in the old days, was the starting point of the historic Silk Road.
Day 5. Xian (AB, L)
According to UNESCO, the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses are the Eighth Wonder of the World. Today's excursion will take you to modern China's greatest archaeological discovery – The Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses, which silently guarded the tomb of China's First Emperor for over 2,200 years. Next you'll head to the Terracotta Replication Factory that actually re-made terracotta soldiers. Back to downtown and pay a visit to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda Park and Xian Museum.
Day 6. Xian/ Chengdu (AB, L)
Tour the Ancient City Wall of Xian, one of the World’s oldest, most complete fortified defenses, and Muslim Quarter, then fly to Chengdu. Upon arrival, be transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day is on your own.
Day 7. Chengdu (AB, L)
After breakfast, drive to visit Leshan Giant Buddha by boat, which is the biggest sitting Buddha in the world. After lunch, stroll around the Kuanzhai Lane to enjoy the Sichuan local compounds in the style of late Qing Dynasty.
Day 8. Chengdu / Guilin (AB)
Chengdu is the hometown of pandas. This morning, drive to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, an optimal place to see the Giant Panda up close and not behind bars at a zoo. Here you'll find it is a delightful experience to watch these cute pandas in their large open air enclosures. Then the guide will accompany you to Chengdu airport to take a flight to Guilin. Upon arrival, be met and transfer to visit the Elephant Trunk Hill.
Day 9. Guilin-Yangshuo-Guilin (AB, L)
A leisurely four-hour cruise down the Lijiang River from Guilin to Yangshuo begins the day. Enjoy the picturesque landscape, surrounded by the hills and bamboo that have inspired many artists over the centuries. Upon arriving at Yangshuo, you'll then have the afternoon to explore on your own by either renting a bike or taking a walk around West Street, a 1,400-year-old street paved with marble. Explore some of the diverse and charming stores and shops around the area. Later afternoon, drive back to Guilin.
Day 10. Guilin / Shanghai (AB, L)
This morning, you will visit the incredible karsts Reed Flute Cave awaits for you, then visit Saltwater pearl Factory before being transferred to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, be met and transfer to check in at your hotel.
Day 11. Shanghai (AB, L)
Today's tour starts with a visit to Yuyuan Garden and the Yuyuan Market. Then, stroll around the Bund, you will also experience the bustling shopping district of Nanjing Roadand a silk factory, where you can use your bargaining skills to acquire memento for this visit. Then you will spend some free time at Shanghai Museum, you can easily spend a few hours to examine its rich and high-quality collection of ancient Chinese bronze, ceramics, painting and calligraphy, with special exhibits and collection of 120,000 precious works of art, this museum has become one of the best in China.
Day 12. Shanghai / Departure (AB)
After the breakfast, our tour guide will accompany you to the Shanghai airport, fly to your next destination city or back home.
